I was 3-4 years old back then, and several thousand miles away, so totally missed the disco/dance/skate craze. But I like many disco hits, since in fact they were serious songs hidden in disco clothes trying to make a buck. I still haven’t seen Saturday night fever or Grease. But I guess I will have to in order to understand some of the cultural hints that were spawned from or depicted in them.
